Dr. Daniel R. Shoop is from Poulsbo, Wa and loves living in the Pacific Northwest. He graduated from the University of Michigan – the nation’s top dental school at the time – and is happy to have returned to the Puget Sound in 2014. Dr. Shoop’s heart is with every patient and every tooth he works on. Dentistry is his hobby and passion and he strives for the most painless and perfect outcome with every tooth he works on.
He has been awarded Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), Dental Implant Association (FIDIA) and Fellowship status in the in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (FICOI). His office has been awarded ‘Best Dentist’ by South Sound magazine as well as Federal Way Mirror multiple times. He is a member of American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, as well as King County Dental Association, Washington State Dental Association and American Dental Association. He is also an Invisalign and Inman Aligner provider.
Dr. Shoop believes in caring for and serving others. He is committed to helping both inside the community and out. He is a frequent volunteer with Medical Teams International on the Dental Bus and also happily volunteers with any other organizations such as Give Kids a Smile and Veterans days. He has even gone far up into the mountains of Guatemala as well as to the Dominica Republic on dental missions. He also volunteers within the dental community by mentoring a student dentist at the UW school of dentistry.
He and his wife, who is a nurse, live in Gig Harbor, WA. They have a daughter and son. His wife often works weekends which keeps Dr. Shoop full time dad during long nurse shifts. If they have spare time they like spending their time out on walks or in the yard. Dr. Shoop is also restoring a ’56 F100 pickup.
